VirtualPBX Launches SIP Trunking Service

VirtualPBX has launched the SIP Trunking platform to boost the functionality and reduce the operational cost of legacy phone systems everywhere.

"By offering SIP Trunking to businesses we've addressed a historically underserved population with a new, sleek, and powerful solution," said Lon Baker, VirtualPBX's chief operations officer, in a statement. "We recognize that many businesses are tied into depreciation schedules for their existing PBX investments and can't switch to a fully hosted solution just yet. SIP Trunking addresses all of their concerns and saves them money in the process."

With plans starting at 20 trunks per system with an additional five burstable trunks, the capacity of SIP Trunked businesses will be expanded greatly. Plus, because the VirtualPBX system is hosted alongside the company's other cloud-based products, the cost per trunk is drastically reduced.

"We wanted to strike the right balance between a robust system that performed the way our customers needed it to with one that was available for an irresistible price compared to traditional options," Baker said. "This new SIP Trunking option accomplishes just that."
