Fathom Voice Certified as HIPAA-Compliant

Fathom Voice, a provider of cloud-based contact center software, has completed the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliancy process, which brings added security to the company's global communications platform.

Fathom Voice owns its own application programming interfaces, manages its own infrastructure, and doesn't rely on outsourced development resources. This has allowed the company to take the necessary steps to become HIPAA-compliant.

"For months now, we have been heavily focused on building a secure, reliable product tailored to businesses who must be HIPAA-compliant. To do this, we took a step back and looked at Fathom as a whole while completing a thorough risk assessment. We then designed a solid business continuity plan to prepare us for the unexpected," said Jesse Kinser, Fathom Voice's security and privacy officer, in a statement. "Our development and security teams worked together to analyze the product architecture to ensure that everything was designed to maximize confidentiality, integrity, and availability for our customers."
