Enghouse Unveils Attendant Console for Microsoft Skype for Business Cloud PBX

Enghouse Interactive today unveiled an Attendant Console for Microsoft Skype for Business, a professional attendant and operator console native to Skype for Business Cloud PBX and accessible directly from Microsoft Office 365.

The interactive and graphical interface brings a gamification approach to increasing attendant and operator productivity. Menus and functions are state-dependent and calls travel dynamically and change color based on the contacts' queue position and age. In addition, users are empowered with directory searching coupled with presence in Skype for Business.

"The increasing growth of unified communications is a testament to Microsoft Skype for Business," said John Cray, vice president of product management at Enghouse Interactive, in a statement. "We are honored to team with Microsoft to support the collaboration needs of our customers."

"This milestone achievement brings a next-generation and gamification approach to call handling that enables enhanced productivity and collaboration," said James Skay, senior product marketing manager for the Microsoft Skype for Business Developer Platform, in a statement. "We are excited to share this innovative breakthrough with...the thousands of enterprises worldwide for which Skype for Business is the preferred call management system."
