Speech technology provider Deepgram today introduced UniMRCP integration that will allow companies to connect speech recognition with interactive voice response (IVR) solutions from companies like Genesys, Cisco, Avaya, and Nuance Communications.
MRCP (Media Resource Control Protocol) is an industry-standard data and communication protocol commonly used for IVRs. UniMRCP is the open source cross-platform implementation of the MRCP client and server.
Deepgram's UniMRCP offering allows companies to capture the reason customers are calling by automatically adjusting to unique audio profiles and by distinguishing between speakers and filtering out background noise. With training, Deepgram can identify keywords to connect customer calls to the correct support person based on their needs.
