Aculab Launches Prosody X Evo

Aculab, a provider of artificial intelligence and communications technologies, has launched Prosody X Evo, which provides  media processing and call control signalling for connectivity to both PSTN and IP networks.

Prosody X Evo's architecture includes up to 128 SS7 signaling links per chassis, high-capacity media processing capabilities, the ability to split media and control traffic over different networks, and the availability of 4, 8 or 16 E1/T1 trunks. For the 16-trunk variant, there is no need for an application to manage inter-card H.100 bus switching and H.100 timeslot assignment, as all TDM switching between resources on the single card can be done point to point.

Furthermore, it supports a broad set of high-level technologies, including transcoding between speech codecs, n-way (both wideband and narrowband) conferencing, Group 3 and T.38 fax processing at up to V.34 speeds, call progress analysis, and live speaker/answering machine detection.

Prosody X Evo supports a range of telephony solutions, including interactive voice response, call centers, fax, broadcast, conferencing, VoIP, and military applications.

"With Prosody X Evo, you can seamlessly connect to PSTN and IP networks while preserving interoperability in the ever-evolving landscape of modern business," said Ladan Baghai-Ravary, CEO of Aculab, in a statement.
